I Am Free

Can I just start off with a few Scripture references before I completely start.

“So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.” John 8:36
“But He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be made whole.” Isaiah 53:5
‘For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. ‘ 2 Corinthians 3:17
‘Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence. ‘ Ephesians 3:12
‘I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to your commandments.’ Psalms 119:45
‘“Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is made right in God’s sight—something the law of Moses could never do. ‘ Acts of the Apostles 13:38-39

I’m reading over my blogs that I have written over this past year and I am just so full of joy, what God has done in my life, what God has revealed to me over this year is just incredible and I am so grateful I have been blogging about what is happening in my life. I am so real and so open on my blogs and what I say is the absolute truth, I am not exaggerating but I just write what Holy Spirit is saying through me. What I say is not my words. What I have experienced in this past week, is more than I ever expected. God is just a ‘more’ sort of God, He loves giving us more and more. He has so much to offer for each and every one of us and He loves us so much. I know I say how much He loves us and how much He loves me but I had a true revelation on how much He actually does love me and what The Gospel really and truly means.

God I just thank You, I thank You for Your love and Your grace. I thank You that You have never given up on any of us and that You pursue us and desire for us to really know You. Your heart for all the nations, Your heart for all the people is so amazing and big. God would You just be here with me as I write this and give me the right words so people who are reading this right now have Your peace upon them and have understanding. God thank You for the all the gifts You have given me. Thank You Jesus for dying on the cross to take away the sins of the world and so we could be made new. That you have restored us again and that we could be born again to complete freedom, so we could have a new life in You, thank You for being the light in this world and that we carry Your light and that we can shine where there is darkness so darkness can be gone. God You are a healer and You do heal instantaneously and I thank You for all the healing I have received and I declare healing over people’s minds and body’s right now that they will be healed in Jesus’ Name. You have all power and have Your way in me Father. In Jesus Name Amen.

In the past week I have been at PlanetUni Camp which is a camp that my Church runs every year for Uni students (not that I am in  Uni) and now I am at Jesus School. I have been able to just be out of my home and away from the pressures of the world and of the distractions. I feel like I have grown so much, not just in head knowledge but in my relationship with God.
Years and years battling with various mental illness’ as an ongoing issue I am finally broken free from it all. No depression, no thought of self harm, no eating disorder thoughts, no PTSD and no anxiety. There is complete freedom in Jesus, He gives us complete freedom. I came from a place where I thought I will struggle with depression forever, I came from a place where I thought every mental illness I had will be with me forever, I knew God can heal, I had experienced that. I just came to a place where I thought God was just going to let me go through this so I could use it later on and relate with people. I mean really that all came from a good place in my mind but if the Son sets you free you are free indeed John 8:36 as I quoted before, why would I not be free from that? Why would God want me to suffer with this mental illness that was literally suffocating me, where I could hardly come to God, where I struggled to breathe and just get out of bed? Why would God not want me to be set free from that, a Father doesn’t want His Children to be sick or hurt so why would God our Father want that? I mean it is so much better to be healed from it and use it as a testimony to share with people who are also struggling and that I can give hope that God can and will heal them also. I came from a place where I hated when preaches, when people talked about getting set free from depression, I hated when anyone mentioned it, I always felt uncomfortable, so many people are living in the fact where they just think they won’t be healed from mental illness’ but I am a living testimony. Read my other blogs and you’ll see my journey from where I was to now.
What I got from PlanetUni Camp was how powerful the voice of the Lord is. That there is nothing on this earth or out of this earth that can break it. But our flesh also has a voice and that’s mainly the voice we are in tune with and agree with. It’ll say how much we are hurting and that we are tired. Our flesh wants to be looked after and will tell us how we feel. In order to silence it and focus on God’s Voice you need to have your eye on the place you are heading, you need to keep your eyes on Jesus and focus on that and when you focus on the ultimate goal the voice of the flesh will flee, the more you do that the voice of the flesh has a weaker hold over you and soon it’ll get silent. Hebrews 12:1-2 says ‘Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.’
The enemy loves to whisper into your ear, always accusing you, always putting you down, always twisting the truth. The enemy will use your circumstance to back up his lies, he will tell you that if you’re in a difficult circumstance that is what God is like. What voice are you listening to? We have authority over our situations, we have authority over the industries, God has given us authority to speak life into things, we have Holy Spirit who lives in us that Jesus sent to be our advocate. An advocate means “a person who puts a case on someone else’s behalf” Holy Spirit is our advocate, how amazing is that?
The enemy won’t attack something unless he sees something in you, “wow I’m flattered satan that you care so much about me but I don’t care for you or your lies so get lost.” The more we shut his voice out and diminish it, he will flee. We need to position ourselves at the feet of the King, we need to position ourselves to be open to Him. We are a child of the living God, we are His children, are we acting like it?
“You dance/worship for approval not from approval.” That really stirred something up in me. When we are at church or in an environment where we are all praising God, worshiping God are we doing it our of a place from approval or for approval from everyone else? God wants us to be His children and love Him and not be performers. We are a child by birth not worth.

That was just a tiny summary of what I learnt at PlanetUni Camp, now from my time being at Jesus School – it is only day 4 and I still have over a week left of learning and growing.
Proper belief leads to proper behaviour. What you believe will determine your behaviour. If you are noticing that you are behaving in not the best way what could you believe differently so you can behave differently naturally? Jesus came to set us free from sin not to cover you. The Cross equals a heart transplant.
“For God made Christ who never sinned to be the offering for our sin so we could be made right with God through Christ” 2 Corinthians 5:21
When getting baptised we died with Christ and then raised with Him.
Mark Greenwood, if you have time you should look him up and read his book and blogs, he is one of the leaders running this school, he used this analogy of a coin, one side is Jesus and the other side is us. It is still the same coin right, a coin is the same value if you turn it upside down right? Now what you say about yourself would you say that about Jesus? Probably not? Are you speaking life or death into your own life? If you’re telling yourself negative things about who you are you are opening a door for the enemy to come in and lie to you even more. We are the same substance as Christ. Jesus wasn’t just identified by God, He was loved by God. It is one thing to know you are righteous and to know that you are free from sin but knowing the love of God will sustain you. God spoke to me about His love for me that really changed things around. For me my Father figures in my life haven’t been the best at all, stepdad being abusive mentally and physically for majority of my life and then I always feel like I’m striving for my dad’s love and needing to do good things, needing to be the best of the best, I had to get awards, I had to be smart and so on to earn my dad’s love. God spoke to me saying that I never have to earn His love, my Father’s love is eternal for me. The joy of the Lord is my strength and my happiness is not based on my circumstances. Feelings can be over-righted as we have the authority over them. God has given us peace and joy and we don’t have to ride the roller coaster of emotions.
‘God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin. ‘ 1 Corinthians 1:30
‘He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God.’ Romans 4:25
‘and from Jesus Christ. He is the faithful witness to these things, the first to rise from the dead, and the ruler of all the kings of the world. All glory to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding his blood for us. ‘ Revelation 1:5
‘He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.’ Psalms 103:12
‘And he did not enter heaven to offer himself again and again, like the high priest here on earth who enters the Most Holy Place year after year with the blood of an animal. If that had been necessary, Christ would have had to die again and again, ever since the world began. But now, once for all time, he has appeared at the end of the age to remove sin by his own death as a sacrifice. And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.’ Hebrews 9:25-28

Are you seeing a similar theme in these verses? Are you reading and meditating on these? What are you thinking? What are you feeling right now? I mean doesn’t it make sense that Jesus died on the cross to get rid of sin once and for all, so we don’t have to sin? Like why else would Jesus say “It is finished?”, why else would God send His only child to go into this world and take in the sin of the world upon Himself and die? But not only die but raise back to life 3 days later? We have a new life in Christ, Jesus set us free from everything that is keeping you in bondage. He already did it at the cross, IT IS FINISHED!
‘Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death? We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin. And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with him. ‘ Romans 6:1-3,6-8
It repeats it all in The Bible, why else would it be written to not continue sinning? This is real and it is being hidden in this day and age, I tried to find scripture against this and find faults in this but I really can’t. The Scripture doesn’t lie. My heart is just so filled and just so in awe of God.

I am still learning and I’m still growing, I also don’t know all the answers but I’m here to be used by God and to share what He is putting on my heart to share.

I just want to thank you for being the individual that you are, you have such a gift, you have the ability to change nations, you have the ability to change culture and you are loved and not mistaken. You are created with a purpose and with love. You are so worth it and Jesus already paid the price. It is going to be okay and I encourage you just to give it to God, to just humble yourself and take away your pride and just lay it down for Him. He loves you so much and He will set you free.

I am free.

  1. Wow, I’m speechless. I have gone through majority of your blogs and I’ve realized how I have been far away from God yet He is always there for me. I feel so ashamed. I just feel like changing my ways after reading your blogs. You are amazing❤.

    1. Wow thankyou so much for your kind words! Don’t ever feel ashamed, you are so loved and so close to Our Father’s heart! Throughout my blogs my relationship with God has been on and off and what I’ve really learnt from it all is that I don’t have to do anything but open my heart to God and know how loved I am. And it all really flows from there 🙏🏽 God bless ❤️
